Knotweed Kite Design
Did you know that Japanese knotweed, a common invasive species, has many uses—including becoming a kite frame? Join Mel on a walk to harvest knotweed, learn responsible harvesting teachings, and design kite frames for the Atlantic Kite Festival!
Please note:
We will be harvesting in the woods, so please wear long pants and close-toed shoes, and dress appropriately for the weather! We will provide gardening gloves but feel free to bring your own.
We will be walking approximately 2k, both downhill and uphill. If you would not like to join us on the walk, you are welcome to stay at the Neighbourhood Shop during the session, and we can harvest on your behalf.
